I edited /etc/ssh/ssh_config by uncommenting the ForwardX11=yes and it started working again. It looks like defaults have changed with no changes to the /usr/src/crypto/openssh/ssh_config to match. The man page IS correct, but with no change in ssh_config, mergemaster does not provide and alert that something needs to be changed. I suspect that the same is true of sshd_config. R.
