In all fairness, C and C++ are two different languages, whereas the files
in question are all the same language, so this analogy isn't quite
correct.  However, given tab-completion, I think we can get away with
using .s and .S.  Also, only converting the assembly files that actually
need .S because they #include headers will save on repo bloat as fewer
files will need to be copied.
