Here I propose a patch for the ppbus system before a major commit: - FIFO+DMA support (with lptcontrol -e) - Printer status read in NIBBLE IEEE1284 mode (with cat /dev/ppi0) - IEEE1284 BYTE mode read/write between two computers You may fetch the code + some info at http://www.freebsd.org/~nsouch/ppbus.html Don't forget to recompile lptcontrol.
