The NIS server is on the private network. If I change the client flags to -ypset -ypsetme and reboot then ypbind works, but after a day or so the machine load goes up to 1.50 from 0.0 If I leave the flags as they are above the machine load goes to 1.5 and ypbind comes up with a "can't yp_bind : domain not bound" message Can anyone shed any light on what I am doing wrong or point me to docs other than the MAN pages. ? Also what is the best way to start ypbind from a command prompt without rebooting?
