You'll also note that it was a comment, and not a statement that "The author is completely braindamaged, and should be taken out and shot". So in a nutshell, relax. Perhaps it is my config, while I find it possible that it is something with Accelerated-X, it seems odd that it only shows up in tk stuff, and nothing else. My frustration with TCL/TK was related to performance in general, not your app. I've tried TKdesk, and it crawls, and zircon runs like a dog as well. The common thread being my machine, and tcl/tk apps. However, I don't see any other performance problems with my box and Motif apps, I get great mpeg frame-rates, everything else works very snappy so I was quick to point the finger at TCL/TK, which may actually be incorrect.
