Er, that shouldn't work.

Take one of the cards out and/or unconfigure it.  You normally don't
connect two ether cards in the same machine to the same physical wire with
IPs on the same subnet.  I think I would call the behavior you're seeing a
'feature'.

How on earth did you build this? :-)

Some sysctl's can modify these options, but they are normally set by the
client application.
