I am setting FreeBSD as my gateway to internet for my home network. I got several resources over the net. But I am little bit confused which one to use. I am connecting Verizon ADSL. It is ADSL connected to one of Ethernet card of FreeBSD box. 1) Should I use PPP or PPPoE? 2) For home networking, should I use IPFW & NATD or ppp's NAT facility? Your answer will save tremendous time. Thanks in advance. /Jaeho Lee -----Original Message----- From: David Johnson [mailto:djohnson@acuson.com] Sent: Monday, April 02, 2001 1:25 PM To: Joe Warner Cc: freebsd-newbies@freebsd.org Subject: Re: Video Player Joe Warner wrote: > > Can anyone recommend a good movie player for FreeBSD 4.2 that > will play multiple formats like MPEG, AVI, etc.? If you don't need the best performance/quality for each format, then aKtion works. It's kind of lame on MPEG though. xmovie seems pretty good for MPEG, but I don't think it does other formats.
