Past this date experimental work on lock pushdown is in progress. If you have NOT used FreeBSD SMP on your hardware before, start with the 970815 SNAP. After verifying that SMP works on your system you are encouraged to cvsup to the latest code and help exercise the lock changes." Is the above still true? This would be the first time I would be using/installing SMP capable version of FreeBSD. What is the best version to start from? Walnut Creek CDROM place sells a Oct 6 snap of freebsd which should have the SMP capabilities. Thanks. Deepinder. PS: No updates have been made to the above mentioned page since August 15, 1997.
