Is GUS PnP Pro a good solution for sound in/out? I've heard people having problems with the PnP GUS cards. The GUS MAX is the card to have, if you can get it. > 2. No. Use S3-based cards like the #9 Motion 771 or Diamond Stealth64 VRAM. The XFree S3 server kicks serious butt. I've had great results with one of the #9 cards at 1280x1024x16 on a cheap Sony 17sf. Mind you, the PCI S3 DRAM cards are awfully quick as well; unless performance is a critical issue I'd strongly encourage you to consider evaluating them as well. > Seppo -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and (GSM mobile) 0411-222-496 [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] Collector of old Unix hardware.
