Hi folks,

I have a 5200C scanner which is detected by FreeBSD.=20

uscanner0: Hewlett-Packard HP ScanJet 5200C, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 2

xxx@justok$ usbdevs -v
Controller /dev/usb0:
addr 1: full speed, self powered, config 1, OHCI root hub(0x0000),
nVidia(0x0000), rev 1.00
 port 1 powered
port 2 addr 2: full speed, self powered, config 1, Scanjet
5200C(0x0401), Hewlett Packard(0x03f0), rev 1.00
 port 3 powered
Controller /dev/usb1:
addr 1: full speed, self powered, config 1, OHCI root hub(0x0000),
nVidia(0x0000), rev 1.00
port 1 addr 2: low speed, power 98 mA, config 1, USB-PS/2 Optical
Mouse(0xc01b), Logitech(0x046d), rev 18.00
 port 2 powered
 port 3 powered

I run the program xsane as root(to avoid right issues). (The following
is all at 150 dpi(which is very low))). When I select the lineart or
half-tone option, scanning takes 20 seconds or so (still slow), but it
works.
When I select greyscale, it takes >15 minutes, but works. When I
select color, it doesn't return within 40 minutes (and don't know
whether it ever will).

The issue is exactly the same as this one (but it's not clear what the
endresult was):

I hope someone has solved this problem and could help me.=20

Thanks in advance, Ron
