Well, I'm not bashing your FAQ, it was more like thinking out loud since
I never had to set WITH_GNOME to get apps to be GNOME'ified. Since I
thought (and still thinks) the mk stuff takes cares of that, and it
looks like all you need is WITH_GTK and all GNOME core stuff and apps
will use HAVE_GNOME and so on when needed.

About graphics/dia, I think the check for (${X11BASE}/bin/panel) is a
bit "ugly" and I will see if it could be done in a similar ways other
ports do it (xmms, xscreensaver and so on).
