The following reply was made to PR ports/115717; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Greg Lewis <glewis@eyesbeyond.com> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/115717: New port: java/exist, eXist is an Open Source native XML database Date: Wed, 22 Aug 2007 09:53:34 -0700 This shouldn't have java as its primary category. Please see http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/porters-handbook/makefile-categories.html I would suggest the main category for the port is in fact "databases", which it currently doesn't have at all, despite the fact that its a database. In short, please put the port in databases/exist and have the CATEGORIES set to "databases java". -- Greg Lewis Email : glewis@eyesbeyond.com Eyes Beyond Web : http://www.eyesbeyond.com Information Technology FreeBSD : glewis@FreeBSD.org
