Yep.  Download the latest copy of ppp from

  http://www.freebsd.org/~brian

and read through the manpage.

HINT: The first arg of "set ifaddr" should not be 0.0.0.0/0 for -auto 
mode (your 2.2.1 man page may be wrong).
