(amazing what you can do if you dig deep enough into manpages) :) Now the one thing i didnt see how to do is set up the cdrom... i run xcdplayer, and it comes back with "device not configured" no matter what button i try to push... (used to get"permission denied", but good ole chmod 777 * took care of that) Now all i need to do is configure the cdrom... (easier said than done?) its a creative labs 6x on the same controller as my hard drive, and is set to slave, the hard drive being master (imagine that) i believe the device is wdc0 for the cdrom... anyone wanna take a stab at this? yet once again, i have to thank everyone for their help... -- Grep, and ye shall whence!
