Hi Mike, I have a vintage 1994 486/66 machine on which I tested the new bootblocks using the test floppy method described on -current. I verified that it worked on my dual pentium box before I tested on the 486. The machine is running the Award bios v4.50G on a Genoa Turboexpress 486VLG-X2 (Ver A) motherboard. When I try to boot from floppy, I get a register dump: int=0000000e err=00000007 efl=00030296 eip=00005000 eax=0000918d ebx=00000000 ecx=00000000 edx=00000100 esi=00000000 edi=0000a809 ebp=000003fc esp=000003fe cs=0000 ds=0000 es=a809 fs=0000 gs=0000 ss=9e82 cs:eip=67 00 00 00 67 10 00 00-25 20 00 00 25 30 00 00 ss:esp=00 00 fc 03 0c 04 00 00-00 01 00 00 8d 91 2d 2f And the system then halts. If you build new floppy images, I am willing to test them and report the results, but I do not have enough knowledge of how to debug at this level to be of any help. -Reggie To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
