At the command prompt, type: fsck -y /var (If there is more than one file system that needs fixing, you can put that on the command line as well:) fsck -y /var /usr etc.etc.etc. Wait until it's done. Once you get the command prompt back (it looks like #), type to log out, which should complete the boot process. Good luck, --Glenn
