can't I compile the source code by just compiling kernel again after I use cvsup? because once I did it when I was upgrading from 2.2.5 to 2.2.6 and then the freebsd was saying that it is 2.2.6 version on the next time I reboot! I just want to know if I did something wrong... thanks Brian Tiemann wrote: > On Tue, 28 Jul 1998, Evren Yurtesen wrote: > > > I was wondering about make world, what is the difference between using > > cvsup or cvsup then make world? > > cvsup just updates your source code.
