Stats: Machine: Gateway Solo 9300 XL laptop OS: 4.x-STABLE Card: ESS Technology Maestro-2E dmesg (with boot -v): pcm0: irq 5 at device 8.0 on pci0 setmap (1000, 1000), nseg=1, error=0 pcm0: Maestro DMA base: 0x1000 pcm0: unable to map register space device_probe_and_attach: pcm0 attach returned 6 kernel config: device pcm My mailing list search turned up similar problems, but no resolution.
