Do i have to reinstall .. Is your a local one? An example of your typing and system diagnostics will be helpfull. Then there is a /var/log/maillog file with sendmail (assuming you didn't install and use other MTA) diagnostic messages. Look there for more details. If you don't understand them, please post the relevant part.
