PPP on my lil' server box causes many sio1 buffer overflows. It's user PPP, everything else works fine, and this problem has been observed both with the 2.2.5 ppp and Brian's 980711 build. Here is some logfile from /var/log/messages: Jul 14 17:26:39 notabene /kernel: sio1: 689 more tty-level buffer overflows (tot al 12366) Jul 14 17:26:43 notabene /kernel: sio1: 30 more interrupt-level buffer overflows (total 30) Jul 14 17:29:08 notabene /kernel: sio1: 697 more tty-level buffer overflows (tot al 13063) Jul 14 17:29:27 notabene /kernel: sio1: 332 more tty-level buffer overflows (tot al 13395) Jul 14 17:29:33 notabene /kernel: sio1: 7 more tty-level buffer overflows (total 13402) This only occurs when PPP is running and when data is being actively transferred. If you've got any hints or ideas, please let me know.
