Both the chip and cable works fine in Linux or Windows, but I get an error message from FreeBSD 4.3-RC2 that says "DMA limited to UDMA33, Non-ATA66 compliant cable." Here is my dmesg output with a kernel verbosely booted. I have carefully erased a few unimportant lines, to make it shorter and more readable. I'd appreciate help/advice on this. I've been reading a bit through /sys/dev/ata/* and what causes the error _message_ is that "ATA_PARAM(scp, device)->cblid" returns zero (ata-dma.c:105). cblid lies in struct ata_params. But I'm not sure what to do with this. Torbjorn Kristoffersen sgt@netcom.no PS: I've had this problem with the predecessors of FreeBSD as well. ====== Start of dmesg output ====== Copyright (c) 1992-2001 The FreeBSD Project.
