No change. After some card juggling: There was an Level1 PCMCIA adapter card installed as well, which in combination with the 3port fxp ethernet board caused the hung system. The Level1 PCMCIA and the 3port fxp ethernet played well together inside a downstripped MicroStar (MSI) MS-6714 GEM-L board, http://www.msicomputer.com/product/detail_spec/product_detail.asp?model=845GEM-L Problem avoided for now by removing the PCMCIA adapter. -- MfG/Best regards, Kurt Jaeger 16 years to go !
