Can anyone suggest why on a 2.05R system I wind up with hundreds of
sendmails running, eventually running out of swap and killing the
system?  It has a single slip line, uses the standard sendmail setup,
and a similar setup has caused no problems on two other systems.

It has 16MB memory and 32MB swap.  All the system is doing is collecting
mail and storing it to the local hard drive.
