The man makefiles are remarkably complicated for such a simple program suite. (man/lib doesn't depend or rely on config.h, but it needs to build it because man/man and man/manpath depend on it and `make depend' time and are missing explicit dependencies that would give the man makefiles tn3270-like complications and evilness.) Perhaps config.h should be a source file (configured before import time) as in cvs and gdb. Bruce
