https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D271559 --- Comment #17 from Hans Petter Selasky <hselasky@FreeBSD.org> --- > Unfortunately I couldn't test it with VLC, as soon as virtual_oss was run= ning > VLC didn't show pcm devices anymore. Thus I ran JACK on the > "/dev/dsp.surround", mpv on "/dev/dsp.stereo". But the virtual_oss_ctl GU= I definitely helps to see what's going on. VLC is a bit strange. You need to manually select OSS, and then enter /dev/dsp.xxx in the preferences . Then you need save that, and restart VLC. Then it will use that audio device! I'm open to making virtual_oss more user-friendly, and your feedback and first-time experiences are valuable. --HPS --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
