Oh by the way, of course you can also use a mirror tool such as
omi (/usr/ports/ftp/omi):

   omi -s ftp.freebsd.org -r /pub/FreeBSD/tools -l /tmp/tools

(-s server name, -r remote directory, -l local directory)
