Is this documented somewhere? I've only seen it mentioned in
this thread and in a couple of messages in -questions@
(http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-questions/2003-November/025940.html)

My questions are vague and numerous, but that's probably
because of the lack of documentation. They basically revolve
around how do the ports system interact with CPAN when
installing, removing, upgrading, etc....
