The last mention of the S/PDIF capabilities of the SoundBlaster Live! card under FreeBSD was the website archive from nearly a year ago. I'm curious if anyone out there knows the current status of the emu10k1 driver, and its support for the S/PDIF output port on the card. It seems that the emu10k1 project on Sourceforge has some recent activity; perhaps someone with more know-how than myself can learn from these drivers and utilities? I would gladly offer my system as a beta machine if anyone on the FreeBSD side has something that needs testing.
