It works great!  One exception - I'm using green_saver and it doesn't 
blank the screen anymore.  The text stays where it is on the screen and 
the cursor disappears.  When I hit a key, the console responds by 
blanking for a second, then back to normal operation.

The patch as listed in the PR is mangled - some spaces are rendered as 
=20, equal signs rendered as =3D, and escape chars as =1B.

I did manage to fix the patch and get it to apply cleanly.
