In case you didn't realize, RELENG_4 has been in code freeze for some weeks now, preparing for a release next week. "Code freeze" means our release engineer only lets critical bugfixes (and a very few selected enhancements) into the branch pending release. The new dirpref code hasn't even lived in HEAD long enough for a MFC under "normal" circumstances.
