This is especially sad given that 3.0-RELEASE is about to be snapped. When someone with commit privs has some time (does this sound like millenium hype? ;) it'd be great to see PR8162 making it into the repository. It suggests a comment for etc/syslog.conf which should reduce the number of questions syslog's behaviour generates. Perhaps this will make it into 3.1. Ciao, Sheldon. PS: I do understand that people have been incredibly busy lately. It's just frustrating to see something like this overlooked prior to the release of a CD that's going to generate a huge number of questions as it is.
