No. The CD is a standard ISO9660 CD-ROM. You should be able to read it under
any operating system.

I would suggest taking it back to Barnes and Noble and ask for a replacement,
seeing as the media is faulty. Failing that, you could try Walnut Creek on
http://www.cdrom.com
