I've sent a formal request to portmgr@ several months ago about the roadmap for making parallel builds default and offered my assistance to fix any breakage (subject to my resources, but I'll try my best). Pav replied that we need to schedule few more -exp runs, but apparently portmgr@ was ENOTIME back then.
