Interestingly enough, the installation/packaging didn't really "fail" -- it printed out some messages and went through! That's hard to debug.... By the way, you also changed "news.news" to "news:news" which is fine, but you somehow made a diff from a "news:news" line that had me scratching my head for awhile.
