Subject: Version management for ports

I am thinking of writing a little script that steps through /var/db/pkg
and compares the version of each port installed with the version
currently available in /usr/ports. The script would print out any
differences in versions, presumably because a new version of the port
has been released. This would be a quick way to see what ports could be
upgraded on a box.

My question is this:
Does such a script already exist?

Just wondering...if not, I'll start on it. :)

Bradley
