I also had to remove any refernce to DNS1 in /ect/hosts I still have the DNS1 listed as a host in the db.domain file so they can locate each other. I was unable to have them use each other as nameservers though. I believe that the problem is because both are running as primary namservers, I realize that this is an incorrect configuration but it is just temporary until the DNS1 system can be upgraded.
