The good news is that it compiles and boots wonderful. It boots into single-user mode just fine, and it looks like it works great. Plugging and unplugging the card produces the right result; no more "card inserted, slot 1" messages, unlike the old code. It seems like it is doing the right thing. The bad news is this: as soon as pccardd starts up the kernel crashes hard. It seg faults and cannot sync. It looks like you are on the right path, though...
