Hi, I have found an opti 933 card in the dirt, and want to use it on 2.2.6-REL. I have obtained the apparently latest driver revision (980607) from Luigi's webpage, and the card gets recognized as a 931 as pcm1 (it's a pnp card). All seems almost well, despite I can't get a single squeak out of it. I tried shuffling .au files to /dev/audio (-> /dev/audio1), /dev/dsp1 but nothing happens (I have adjusted the volume with mixer(1)). No error is displayed either. My question is whether the opti 933 cards are supported at all by the driver, since it only mentions 931 and some 929(?) things; and I don't know how much different the 933 is from the 931. This is from dmesg: Probing for PnP devices: CSN 1 Vendor ID: OPT0931 [0x3109143e] Serial 0xffffffff AD_WAIT_INIT FAILED 100 0xff mss_attach <OPTi931>1 at 0x530 irq 10 dma 1:0 flags 0x10 pcm1 (OPTi931 <OPTi931> sn 0xffffffff) at 0x530 irq 10 drq 1 flags 0x10 id 15 jfyi, specs on the card and the 82c933 are available at http://www.opti.com/products/933.htm - mkb To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
