I think the drive takes a whule to come ready, and somehow, co-incidence makes it come ready before this command? I see in another post that this behaviour is already known to occor on a 1.1.5.1 system, so it's not new, just the message is new. The other poster says increasing SCSI_DELAY fixes the problem. julian
