Hello,

As my experiences if  a HDD starts to produce bad blocks those
blocks %80 grow larger amounts. This is because some small parts
of the HDD plates are broken and while the drive spins they hit good
places and make them bad too. But this is not every time true.

If your bad block amount growed from starting soryy above is
true for you. You may have some file OK one day and next day not.
This is not FreeBSD's or some other OS fault.
