I followed the instructions from www.freebsdrocks.com wrt to installing S.O. 5.0 ( to the letter :-) and....... 'setup' still dumps core :-( fwiw, here's what gdb has to say: ============= $ gdb setup setup.core GDB is free software and you are welcome to distribute copies of it under certain conditions; type "show copying" to see the conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for GDB; type "show warranty" for details. GDB 4.16 (i386-unknown-freebsd), Copyright 1996 Free Software Foundation, Inc...(no debugging symbols found)... Core was generated by `setup'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. /lib/libX11.so.6: No such file or directory. #0 0x28132ca8 in ??
