[y] On 5/16/2008 I updated the system via cvsup (7.0-STABLE), rebuilt and installed a new kernel (GENERIC) and the problem is still the same. The system seems to operate fine when answer "n" to the panic question. Two CPUs show up and are being utilized. Full dmesg output follows (SANTAFE-kernel conf is a plain copy of GENERIC, without any modifications): FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE #0: Fri May 16 04:06:56 MDT 2008 thoellri@santafe.gateway.2wire.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/SANTAFE Timecounter "i8254" frequency 1193182 Hz quality 0 CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ (2194.51-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin = "AuthenticAMD" Id = 0x60fb2 Stepping = 2 Features=0x178bfbff Features2=0x2001 AMD Features=0xea500800 AMD Features2=0x11f Cores per package: 2 real memory = 1878917120 (1791 MB) avail memory = 1828093952 (1743 MB) ACPI APIC Table: AP #1 (PHY# 1) failed! panic y/n?
