squirrelmail is IMAP only, and will not do POP3. IMP is really powerful, but is a completely bloated beast, and i have never gotten it to work correctly. if you're going POP3, i'd use OpenWebmail (ports/mail/openwebmail). because you want SSL security, i'd strongly advise that you go with IMAP. it's surprisingly simple to set up an imap server (i use the courier-imap daemon, which does Maildirs [i don't use qmail] and i dig it. a lot). if you do go imap + ssl, yeah, go with squirrelmail. i run squirrelmail and love it. -Adam >> (07.16.2002 @ 0919 PST): lists@brenius.com said, in 1.7K: << > We are exploring our options for WebMail, but having difficulty finding the > right one, specifically: > > One that supports: > > -Multiple domains > -POP3 > -Runs on FreeBSD, Apache, & CGI or PHP preferably > -SSL Option > -"User" friendly > -Not too too expensive > > We have looked at OpenWebmail and cannot seem to allow it to work > with multiple domains (hosting environment).
