            Bug ID: 259346
Summary: ftp/pure-ftpd mget doesn't work anymore
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Individual Port(s)
          Assignee: sunpoet@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: luciano@vespaperitivo.it
          Assignee: sunpoet@FreeBSD.org
             Flags: maintainer-feedback?(sunpoet@FreeBSD.org)

When connecting to a freeBSD server running the last pure-ftpd, any try to
download files via mget command ends in a "Can't check for file existence"
message. See:

ftp> mget *.c
Can't check for file existence
ftp> ^D

on the server side the only thing that is logged to /var/log/messages is:

Oct 21 18:59:52 mordaglio pure-ftpd: (?@?) [ERROR] Unable to find the 'ftp'
account

Adding the user (needed for anonymous ftps, I suppose) doesn't change anyth=
ing.

The only workaround I found is downgrading to a previous version.

Luciano.
