new port instead of updating existing?

Hi,

This is a newer version, but 1.0.x -> 1.5.y (leading up to now) was a
significant change in the IDE, and it's conceivable that:

1. People may not want/need to upgrade - especially with some of the
projects that could exist on this platform, the stability of the 1.0.5
version and the avr core included could be a hard requirement

2. The new version may not be completely stable at first

And ultimately, it's really not imperative that people upgrade. The older
IDE is still fine to use, and probably preferable in many ways.

Thanks,

Kyle Evans
