	There are no conflicts on either computer, and I did read that text,
but thanks.

	I even tried rebooting the server... if I use the -h flag it outputs
everything to the serial console, but it's all garbled. I tried using
stty to double check the settings for ttyd0 and they seem correct,
although one thing that concerned me is that the the gettytab specified
even parity, AND the attribute that says "don't fake or detect parity." 

	I also tried different (all possible I think) combinations of data
bits, stop bits and parity. I even changed the baud rates on the console
side... still no joy. I did get slightly different versions of the
garbage, but still no plain text. 

	So, I'm still looking for help with this. :-/
