Any other ideas? Hmm.. i've just experienced the same problem with the latest pidentd build. I've redone the kernel/libkvm and libc is pretty current. I just backed out pidentd to 09/09/96 (the 2.7b4 version) and that works fine, so i'm sticking with that till this gets cleared up.
