I spend quite a few years in the South East ^d deletes the dependency entirely and rebuilding the port in question will (hopefully) re establish the proper one. I've used this when it was not desirable to pkg_delete and rebuild the port. You might also take a look at the "-O" option. See man(1) portupgrade. I'm in Anchorage.
