I noticed the same OS behavior on my Release:6.2 box. However it reveals only under certain circumstainces. Description: System will reboot while umount smbfs, but it will happen only if network connection for FreeBSD machine got lost for approximately 12-15 minutes exactly after mounted_smbfs share, and went back just before umount procedure is performed. If to umount just after network unplugged - everything goes fine. If to umount without plugging network cable back everything goes fine.
