--7JfCtLOvnd9MIVvH Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, after upgrade from 4.8 to 4.9 my Prism2.5-based wi0 (Netgear MA311, hostap) no longer works - IPsec or WEP disabled. Output of dmesg is below. Strange enough, a ping from another box to the AP shows that ICMP goes only in one direction: kruemel# tcpdump -i wi0 tcpdump: listening on wi0 22:57:08.812073 other-box > freebsd-ap: icmp: echo request (DF) 22:57:09.807063 other-box > freebsd-ap: icmp: echo request (DF) 22:57:10.806939 other-box > freebsd-ap: icmp: echo request (DF) So, this looks to me like a driver problem. Thanks in advance. /Holger FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE #0: Sat Mar 13 21:54:14 CET 2004 root@kruemel.eitzenberger.name:/usr/src/sys/compile/KRUEMEL Timecounter "i8254" frequency 1193182 Hz CPU: VIA C3 Samuel 2 (533.35-MHz 686-class CPU) Origin =3D "CentaurHauls" Id =3D 0x673 Stepping =3D 3 Features=3D0x803035<FPU,DE,TSC,MSR,MTRR,PGE,MMX> real memory =3D 260046848 (253952K bytes) avail memory =3D 248938496 (243104K bytes) Preloaded elf kernel "kernel" at 0xc0406000. md0: Malloc disk Using $PIR table, 5 entries at 0xc00fdc70 apm0: <APM BIOS> on motherboard apm0: found APM BIOS v1.2, connected at v1.2 npx0: <math processor> on motherboard npx0: INT 16 interface pcib0: <Host to PCI bridge> on motherboard pci0: <PCI bus> on pcib0 agp0: <VIA Generic host to PCI bridge> mem 0xd0000000-0xd1ffffff at device = 0.0 on pci0 pcib1: <PCI to PCI bridge (vendor=3D1106 device=3D8601)> at device 1.0 on p= ci0 pci1: <PCI bus> on pcib1 pci1: <Trident model 8500 VGA-compatible display device> at 0.0 irq 11 isab0: <PCI to ISA bridge (vendor=3D1106 device=3D8231)> at device 17.0 on = pci0 isa0: <ISA bus> on isab0 atapci0: <VIA 8231 ATA100 controller> port 0xc000-0xc00f at device 17.1 on = pci0 ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0 ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0 uhci0: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> port 0xc400-0xc41f irq 5 at device 17.2 = on pci0 usb0: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> on uhci0 usb0: USB revision 1.0 uhub0: VIA UHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 uhub0: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered uhci1: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> port 0xc800-0xc81f irq 5 at device 17.3 = on pci0 usb1: <VIA 83C572 USB controller> on uhci1 usb1: USB revision 1.0 uhub1: VIA UHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 uhub1: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered chip0: <PCI to Other bridge (vendor=3D1106 device=3D8235)> at device 17.4 o= n pci0 chip1: <VIA 82C686 AC97 Audio> port 0xd400-0xd403,0xd000-0xd003,0xcc00-0xcc= ff irq 12 at device 17.5 on pci0 vr0: <VIA VT6102 Rhine II 10/100BaseTX> port 0xd800-0xd8ff mem 0xd6002000-0= xd60020ff irq 11 at device 18.0 on pci0 vr0: Ethernet address: 00:40:63:c9:bf:50 miibus0: <MII bus> on vr0 ukphy0: <Generic IEEE 802.3u media interface> on miibus0 ukphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto wi0: <Intersil Prism2.5> mem 0xd6000000-0xd6000fff irq 11 at device 19.0 on= pci0 wi0: 802.11 address: 00:09:5b:91:8c:70 wi0: using RF:PRISM2.5 MAC:ISL3874A(Mini-PCI) wi0: Intersil Firmware: Primary 1.01.01, Station 1.05.06 isic0: <ELSA MicroLink ISDN/PCI> port 0xe000-0xe003,0xdc00-0xdc7f mem 0xd60= 01000-0xd600107f irq 10 at device 20.0 on pci0 isic0: passive stack unit 0 orm0: <Option ROM> at iomem 0xc0000-0xcbfff on isa0 pmtimer0 on isa0 fdc0: ready for input in output fdc0: cmd 3 failed at out byte 1 of 3 atkbdc0: <Keyboard controller (i8042)> at port 0x60,0x64 on isa0 vga0: <Generic ISA VGA> at port 0x3c0-0x3df iomem 0xa0000-0xbffff on isa0 sc0: <System console> at flags 0x100 on isa0 sc0: VGA <16 virtual consoles, flags=3D0x300> sio0 at port 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4 flags 0x10 on isa0 sio0: type 16550A sio1: configured irq 3 not in bitmap of probed irqs 0 ppc0: <Parallel port> at port 0x378-0x37f irq 7 on isa0 ppc0: Generic chipset (EPP/NIBBLE) in COMPATIBLE mode lpt0: <Printer> on ppbus0 lpt0: Interrupt-driven port i4bctl: ISDN system control port attached i4btrc: 2 ISDN trace device(s) attached i4bisppp: 2 ISDN SyncPPP device(s) attached i4b: ISDN call control device attached IP packet filtering initialized, divert enabled, rule-based forwarding enab= led, default to deny, logging disabled i4btel: 2 ISDN telephony interface device(s) attached i4brbch: 4 raw B channel access device(s) attached i4bipr: 2 IP over raw HDLC ISDN device(s) attached (VJ header compression) IPsec: Initialized Security Association Processing. ad0: 28615MB <FUJITSU MHT2030AT> [58140/16/63] at ata0-master UDMA100 Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad0s1a i4b: unit 0, assigned TEI =3D 108 =3D 0x6c isp0: lcp: RXJ- (proto-rej) for proto 0x57 (unknown/?) isp0: lcp: RXJ- (proto-rej) for proto 0x57 (unknown/?) wi0: promiscuous mode enabled wi0: promiscuous mode disabled wi0: promiscuous mode enabled wi0: timeout in wi_seek to 14c/3c; last status 403c --=20 ++ GnuPG Key -> http://www.t-online.de/~holger.eitzenberger ++ --7JfCtLOvnd9MIVvH Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAWMwdwVlL9V2akAURAnJcAJ9B9u0THFYbgz8dsmHw2pI8h7H3VQCfQKji zLHC2OdSsah8nFztqzUrXNQ= =kly/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --7JfCtLOvnd9MIVvH--
